The Mouzon Family - some of us anyway!

The Mouzon family came together to celebrate our fathers, especially, the father of us all Willie Lewis Mouzon. My granddaddy is 87 years old! Praise God and still going strong! We love you Granddaddy!

This was my first time meeting some of my first cousins and some I haven't seen in years, still others - we are in constant contact with each other.

Hakeem is Graduating!

My oldest son, Hakeem Shahid Byrd, will be graduating 1 week and 1 day from today. Saturday, June 11,2011. WoW!

Remembering Hakeem as a baby, a toddler - looking at pictures of his fatness. Thinking back to videoing him for 20 minutes in his swing doing absolutely NOTHing but putting his hands in his mouth. Obviously that was a show love of my first born. I must've been mesmerized by his cuteness.

Remembering Hakeem finally walking at 1 year and 2 weeks.

Remebering Porsche' clapping Hakeem's name out BEFORE he did! Too funny!

His love of movies from childhood to 18 years old.

Remembering him being taller than me by 1/4 in. when he was 12. There are SO many good and and not so good memories. Thank God memories will continue being made. As one chapter in life closes another one begins. A new chapter of Hakeem's life will begin on June 12, 2011.

Lord I'm thankful for my son being able to graduate on time. I'm thankful for him perservering and being determined to succeed. Thank You for allowing Mr. Gilliam to be his mentor and help him make goals and achieve his goals. Lord, continue to order his steps, keep him safe from seen and unseen dangers. Allow the right doors to be open to him and super glue shut the wrong ones. Lord, I pray that Hakeem is found in Your will. In Jesus Name - Amen!
